In response to heightened security measures in federal, state and municipal government agency buildings throughout the country, MechoShade Systems collaborated with one of the best structural engineering firms in the nation to produce the Fabric Catcher System® for building protection. This state-of-the-art system was developed to prevent entry into a building of glass debris generated by a bombing.

MechoShade developed high-strength, blast-resistant Kevlar based fabric called Bomb Blast™ . It was designed to be strong enough to work with the Fabric Catcher System, yet still have the aesthetics and transparency found in typical MechoShade installations. Occupants still get a view to the outside in various color choices along with high-strength protection from flying debris.

This system has been proven in Dept. of Security sponsored testing.
